~ The Yawning Portal ~

The Yawning Portal inn, built in 1306 DR by the later Lord of Waterdeep Durnan on the ruins of Halaster Blackcloak's old tower, gained most of its renown for being the primary open route to the Undermountain. A well within its walls led down into the first dungeon of Undermountain.

The Yawning Portal is a thread for general OoC (Out of Character) discourse.

Hello, I don't know much about the yawning portal, but a dungeon access with a tavern built around it seems pretty interesting.

100, FR has many such neat and flavorful inventions well-suited for (when/if not directly invented for) D&D adventure...
